60TH REUNION, MAY
18‑19,2012
When this column reaches the
class, we will be a few months short from our glorious 60th Reunion.  Don’t
forget to set aside May 18‑19, 2012, for that occasion.  Bob Hoyt
(deceased) sent an e‑mail indicating that the Class of 1951's 60th Reunion
only drew 20 guys.  We can do better than that!
Bob
went on to say that he has
had recent visits with

Bob Homing (deceased),
			Freddy Gartside (Deceased), and
John Seville.

		John Kerr

(deceased) writes that one of his grandsons, Ian Kerr, will be
entering Lehigh as a member of the Class of 2015.  As Ian enters Lehigh,

					Dick Schmidt's
	(deceased) grandson, Josh, will be
graduating in the Class of 2012, the day after our reunion.  Dick
goes on to say that he is
driving for Enterprise Rent-a-Car, covering as many as 400 miles per day, just
in the state of Arizona.
From the other
Moran
in the class,

Jack Moran (Deceased), comes word that he and his wife,
Margaret, have lived on Cape Cod for many years and that he still works
his import / export business and the two of them travel extensively, most
notably a recent visit to China.  They have a European trip planned for this
Fall.  The
Moran's
(Jack, deceased) actively support the great
Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra and enjoy entertaining the guest artists.

I've had some recent
correspondence with Ralph Fortney.  When I
lament that my drives on fairways, which are as hard as an interstate highway,
rarely exceed 175 yards,
Ralph
says he envies the hard
surface that adds those extra yards!  In all other matters,
Ralph
is adjusting "to life on the
downslope of the bell‑shaped curve."  Ralph
and Sue Ann live in a
full‑care retirement community in Greenville, Del.  "We are popping our fair
share of prescribed pills, but we still have all our original parts."  The
Fortneys
are active in volunteering,
golf, and visiting their family in North Carolina and Georgia.
