Pat Moran
(now deceased):
Lehigh Class of 1952:
We sincerely regret a typographical error in the spring Alumni Bulletin '52 class column: the amount reported for the '52 Class Reunion Gift should have read "more than $9.5 million" rather than $1.5 million.
Pat Moran (deceased) reported the figure correctly. We extend our deepest apologies to the Class of '52.

Hi
'52ers!
I
received
a
number
of
Christmas
'02
messages
that
I
want
to
share
with
you.
Evelyn
and
Allen
Levan,
of
Edison,
NJ.,
continue
to do
good
work
for
their
church
and
local
hospital.
They
mentioned
a
nice
trip
to
Virginia
and
North
Carolina
to
visit
friends
and
relatives.
Gail
and
Gene
Howie (deceased),
Darien,
Conn.,
had a
great
time
at
our
50th
Reunion
and
thanked
the
committee
and
officers
for
their
efforts.
Betsey
and
Mayo
Snyder (deceased)
sent
a
great
photo
of
their
youngest
grandchildren
and
mentioned
that
they
had
moved
from
Homer,
N.Y,
to
Cooperstown,
N.Y.,
and
are
enjoying
"the
village
life."
Barbara
and
Frank Sgambelluri
(deceased)
write
from
Stroudsburg,
Pa.,
that
they
are
well
and
are
counting
their
blessings
in
2003.
Class
Vice
President
Ralph
Fortney
sent
a
long,
cheery
note
saying
that
Ed Leidheiser (deceased)
and
his
new
bride,
Mary-Lu,
had
stopped
by
his
Delaware
home.
They
looked
great
and
are
very
happy
after
a
Thanksgiving
wedding
aboard
a
cruise
ship
with
both
their
families
in
attendance.
Ralph
also
mentioned
attending
a
Lehigh
Alumni
meeting
at
the
South
Carolina
Yacht
Club
(Hilton
Head)
and
chatting
with
Bob
Homing
and
Charlie
Paules
(deceased),
who
are
residents
in
the
area.
Ralph
went
on to
say
that
the
Class
Of
'52
Scholarship
has
gone
once
again
to
Christopher
D.
Bromley
'02,
Of
Mystic,
Conn.,
and
attached
a
copy
of
Chris'
thank-you
letter.
Chris
sounds
like
a
remarkable
young
man
who
treasures
the
opportunity
our
class
scholarship
has
provided.
He
has
completed
his
bachelor's
in
physics
and
plans
to
pursue
a
doctorate.
His
credits
include
Dean's
List,
Psi
Upsilon
social
fraternity,
Kids'
Fest,
and
Phi
Eta
Sigma
Honor
Society.
I,
for
one,
feel
very
elated
that
the
class
can
and
does
help
young
people
such
as
Chris.
My
"assistant"
class
correspondent,
Mary
Jo
Johnston, sent
a
list
of
their
most
recent
travels.
She
and
Jim
never
sit
still!
They
traveled
to
Phoenix,
Bisbee,
and
Tucson,
Ariz.,
Lake
Tahoe,
Calif,
Sharon,
Pa.,
Ocean
City,
Md.,
and
enjoyed
a
Beta
get-together
cruise
to
the
Caribbean.
A
photo
taken
on
the
cruise
shows
a
happy
bunch
including
"Doc"
Adams
(deceased),
Bill
Barney
(deceased),
Fred
Kieshauer
(deceased),
Jim Johnston
(deceased) and
Bob Ellis
(deceased)
- a
truly
good-looking
group
of
"seasoned"
citizens.
I
would
like
to
tip
my
(golf)
hat
to my
wife,
Daz.
She
has
operated
a
successful
massage
therapy
business
for
10
years.
Recently,
she
designed
and
had
constructed
a
water
massage
spa
on
our
property.
She
designed
the
pool,
the
hot
tub,
and
the
landscaping.
She
also
put
in a
beautiful
kiva
(Indian
fireplace)
and a
complete
outdoor
kitchen.
This
is a
gem
of a
healing
center.
Kudos
to
Daz.
Wil Wilbern
(deceased)
,
one
of
the
really
good
guys
in
our
class,
called
me in
March
telling
me
that
he
had a
slight
stroke,
and
that
his
left
arm
and
hand
were
improving
with
therapy.
Wil
would
like
to
hear
from
his
pals
