Winter 2012
Pat Moran
(now deceased):
Hi classmates!
Heartfelt thanks from your
correspondent to my '52 classmates, especially
Dick Schmidt
(deceased), and Pat
Jones and Jessi McMullan '05 in the Alumni Office for keeping me up
to speed during our 60th Reunion. I was unable to attend, but this group and
many others made me feel as if I were in Bethlehem the entire weekend. I even
received a care package complete with anecdotes, pictures, and my very own dink.
Thanks to all.

Dick Schmidt
(deceased) said the
gathering was one of good cheer under friendly skies and in the low 80s, and the
food and adult beverages were plentiful and of excellent quality. Dick
also liked the shuttle service from the Comfort Suites to the campus. Nice
touch!
Saturday's breakfast was
well done, followed by the parade and awards at the flagpole, which was followed
by a simple buffet outside and below the University Center. There were many
programs in the afternoon. Saturday night was our banquet at the U.C. and it
was well done. No real speeches, but a short visit with University President
Alice Gast. Some comments from attendees to our 60th:
Bob
Reisman is still
residing in Vero Beach, Fla., with wife, Toby. They do a lot of world
traveling and Bob is active in various local veterans' organizations.
His son, Larry, is Lehigh Class of 1982, and their oldest grandson is
starting at Lehigh in August of 2012.
Another attendee,
Bob Arndt, is still active in choral singing, oratorios, and the Peter Nero
Christmas Show. Bob
said he discovered that he and Warren Buffett have
the same birthday, August 30, 1930. He sent Mr. Buffett a birthday card in
hopes that he might receive a few shares of Berkshire Hathaway in return. Still
waiting!
Thanks again, '52ers, for
your good wishes. Your correspondent is doing fine.
