From Spring 2018 Alumni Bulletin:
An attorney in New York City, lost his wife, Virginia, 18 months ago, and he sent along a tribute
(he found it in her papers) to those of us who have lost a loved one. A poem
titled "Remember Me."
"To the living, I am gone. To
the sorrowful, I will never return. To the angry, I was cheated. But to the
happy, I am at peace. And to the faithful, I have never left. I cannot be
seen, but I can be heard. So as you stand upon a shore, gazing at a beautiful
sea—remember me. As you look in awe at a mighty forest and its grand
majesty—remember me. As you look upon a flower and admire its
simplicity—remember me. Remember me in your heart, your thoughts, your memories
of the times we loved, the times we cried, the times we fought, the times we
laughed. For if you always think of me, I will never be gone."—Anonymous

-
After
graduating
from
Lehigh,
I
met
the
love
of
my
life
at
Worthington

Together
we
have
produced
4
children
-2
boys,
2

and
have
2
granddaughters.
After
a
stint
in
the

we
moved
our

to
Pittsburgh,

to
work
at
Elliott

in
the
Research
and
Development
Department.
I
was
Manager
of
Turbine
Development
with
emphasis
on
the
aerothermodynamics
of
steam
and
gas
turbines.
Moving
on
to
Hartford,
CT,
I
worked
at
Terry
Steam
Turbine,
a
division
of
Ingersoll-Rand,
where
I
was
Director
of
Engineering.
We
redesigned
and
modernized
the
entire

line.
After
a
merger
of
Ingersoll

I
joined
Solar

a
division
of
Caterpillar

My
position
was
Consulting

Engineer-Scientist,
in
the
Steam

One
of
the
more
interesting
projects
utilizing
the
exhaust
from
a
stationary
gas
turbine
was
the
design
of
the
highest
temperature
(1500F)
boiler
and

ever
to
operate.
This
requires
the
use
of
super

and
the
most
advanced
manufacturing
methods.
The

produces
electric
power,
that
reduces
the

the
lasting

of
fellow

I
am

and
