Alumni Bulletin, Spring 2023:  Frederick J Arnold, Upper Gwynedd, PA, August 30, 2022.  A Phi Delta Theta brother and tennis team member, Mr Arnold was a bond trader and partner in several brokerage firms.  His brother, Robert Arnold, was a member of the Class of 1947.

I received a letter from Fred's wife, Bert, concerning his death August 30, 2022.  She noted that Fred was a bond trader and partner in several brokerage firms.  Fred remembered, very fondly, his years at Lehigh and his Phi Delta Theta brothers.  He was an avid tennis player until he was 85.  He is survived by his wife, Bert and 2 children - September 2022.

From 2015 Winter Alumni Bulletin:  I received a very pleasant phone call and subsequent letter from Fred, who with wife, Bert, lives in a 55 and older community in Upper Gwynedd, PA.  I used to travel that area (Lansdale, Blue Bell) when I was selling.  I remember it well.  Fred says his main pastime is painting (watercolors), mostly landscapes and wildlife.  He plays tennis occasionally, when he can find three "healthy seniors”  for doubles.  Fred and Bert travel annually to some region of the world (Bert has been to over 108 countries).  So, how many new places are left to visit?!  Bert just completed her first book, Somewhere Out There:  A Memoir, the story of her 15 1/2 years in an orphanage in the Depression and WWII years and the trauma and pain she endured.  The book is getting good press and is available at Barnes & Noble or through Amazon.  Thanks, Fred, for a great update.  Good luck to you and Bert.  See you at our 65th.

August 2010 - I live in ocean city, NJ with wife, Bert.  This November equals 56 yrs.  Play tennis and paint - water colors.  Bert has been to over 105 countries not so many for me but still travelling.  Pat, thanks for being our class correspondent.  Good luck!
