History of Asbury Devotionals - 2013 to 2024 (11 years!)

General Information

The Asbury Devotionals were started in 2014 by Pastor Scott Harris, together with Jeanne Farmer as Editor.  Marti Pieper took over the role of Editor in 2017.  We are celebrating our tenth year of Asbury Lenten Devotionals

Asbury United Methodist Church has been sending out free Devotionals Booklets, written by members and friends of our congregation.  These Devotionals are distributed in many media formats to share the love of Christ with others.

Asbury also publishes Advent and Christmastide Devotionals from the first Sunday in Advent until the Saturday following Epiphany."

These booklets, as well as booklets written for the Christmas Advent season, are written, compiled, printed, collated and distributed by volunteers and our office staff prior to Ash Wednesday. Each individual devotional is emailed on the appropriate day to all those who wish to receive them personally.

This year we will distribute 54 devotionals written by 49 Contributors.  Truly a labor of love by all people involved.

A compilation of all 10 years of devotionals may be found at Asbury Devotionals.
