Historical Record

Members and friends of Asbury have been writing devotionals since Lent 2014, and we are now coming to the end of our twelfth year. During this time, 999 original devotionals have been written by a total of 166 authors.

As part of extending Asbury’s mission outreach, since Advent 2019 Bill Erdman has been posting devotionals to the websites: asburylent.com and asburyadvent.com. About two years ago, Bill offered to create a website asburydevotionals.com so that Asbury can maintain an accessible historical online record of all Asbury’s devotionals. All the work in creating, developing and populating the website has been given as a gift to Asbury by Bill. The formatting has been developed so that the record can be updated annually by Asbury’s office staff when Bill is no longer able to do so.

This two-year project has required editing all devotionals since 2014 to ensure that devotionals are in a consistent format, and compliant with copyright law. Copyright compliance has become more important in recent years due to the use of digital material distribution on websites, social media and email.

Asbury is pleased to announce that the website is now available to anyone at asburydevotionals.com.
