Scripture: Philippians 4:6-7 - "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Message: I had an "Ah ha" moment last night...I was talking to Autumn, my newborn daughter, as she was crying - telling her that of everyone that lives in our house she has the least to worry about, but cries the most. I continued to tell her she should just relax and enjoy being a baby and that I'm going to give her everything she needs; she doesn't need to worry about anything. That must be how God feels about us. He tells us over and over He's got it covered, yet we worry and stress anyway. We are as bad at listening to our Father as our children are at listening to us! I had a very secure feeling realizing His love for me is even greater than my love for my children. I'm going to try to be better about giving it all to Him to handle.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we are secure in your love and in your ability to care for all our needs. Even though our fears often overcome us, help us to remember that we are always safe in your love. Amen.
