Advent and Lenten Devotionals Booklets through the years

Asbury United Methodist Church has been providing devotions in booklet format for over 12 years. In December of 2023 this website was created to post Advent, Lent and Connection devotionals in one format and media that enables access to anyone interested.

The Original format was to key on the Contributors and the Scriptures. Year, Month, Day and Title had little relevance in the website format. Because of copyright issues it became cumbersome to continue the "By Scriptures" section and those pages were deleted.  A calendar page is included to give the viewer an awareness of the effort necessary to compile and distribute these devotionals over the years.

We hope you enjoy your journey through Asbury's devotion to devotionals over the years.

Asbury’s devotionals Outreach Ministry in the US has included: Florida United Methodist Children’s Home; Russell Home; Central Florida Reception Center (men’s prison); Oasis Church at Lowell Correctional Institution (women’s prison); Orlando Union Rescue Mission - Project Hope (homeless men); Orlando Union Rescue Mission Families (homeless women and families); Coalition for the Homeless (homeless women and families); and Student Ministries of Central Florida via the Wesley Foundation of Central Florida. These devotionals have reached many, many people throughout the world. It is estimated that over 2,000 booklets have been printed and distributed in the past 12 years.

If you are blessed by these devotionals, thank God for those who made them possible. If you feel inspired to write your own devotional, we invite you to prayerfully consider contributing to the upcoming Advent and / or Lenten Devotionals Booklets. Devotional contributions should be emailed to 2025 Lenten Devotionals, or mailed to the church office. For further information, please contact the church office, or David Vatcher.

Enjoy these Devotionals and feel free to share them with a friend, a neighbor, or anyone who you think might be blessed by reading them. Show kindness always and make every day a blessed day for someone else.

This is a private website that is a collection of devotionals published from 2014 to the present by Asbury United Methodist Church

In a 2018 church meeting, the design and hosting of the 2018 Advent devotions website was accepted on a no cost basis to the church.  Since then, yearly Advent and Lent devotionals plus "Connection" and related websites, such as this one, have been made available in the same spirit.

This particular website is a collection of devotionals from Advent 2014 to the present and includes all Advent, Lent and "Connection Series" devotionals published.  Excluded are 15 devotionals with copyright issues that are temporarily "hidden", pending clarification.

The users are free to reference this website at their discretion.  The WebMaster is sensitive to the wishes of the church and will continue to host them in a proper and timely manner.
